Job summary

BJ Energy Solutions Clairmont is seeking an Electronics Technician to inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair electronic, instrumentation and automation systems for the TITAN™ hydraulic fracturing fleet. Role involves work at Clairmont facility and remote field locations, with strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Ideal candidates are hands-on, enjoy solving complex controls problems, and will collaborate with operations and maintenance teams while learning BJ-specific equipment and FACTS™

Qualifications

• Alberta Journeyperson Electrician certificate or Red Seal endorsement required.
• Minimum four years of electrical experience in industrial settings.
• Industrial AC/DC troubleshooting experience.
• Strong electrical safety and hazard-control knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a field team.
• Willingness to rotate; evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Valid driver’s license; travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial electrical equipment.
• Support equipment mobilization, commissioning, start-up and shutdown.
• Follow controlled isolation, verification, breaker-sequencing and energization procedures.
• Apply proper grounding, bonding, cable routing and phase-identification practices.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and one-line drawings.
• Use multimeters, insulation-resistance testers, scope meters and approved diagnostic tools.
• Document findings and communicate equipment condition and repair requirements.
• Complete all work in accordance with BJ Energy Solutions’ safety requirements and Code of Conduct.

BJ Energy Solutions | Clairmont, Alberta | Full-time | Rotation-Based | Field & Facility

This is not a typical bench electronics position.

As an Electronics Technician (E-Tech), you will inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair electronic, instrumentation and automation systems supporting BJ Energy Solutions’ TITAN™ hydraulic fracturing fleet. Working at our Clairmont facility and remote field locations, you will help keep equipment communicating, measuring, controlling and operating safely and reliably.

This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys solving complex controls problems, working directly with operations and maintenance teams, and learning BJ-specific equipment and FACTS™ automation systems.

What You Will Do

What You Bring

• Ability to work independently and as part of a field team
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays during the rotation
• Valid driver’s license with no restrictions or suspensions
• Travel to client location required.

*Experience with power generation, oilfield equipment, high-voltage distribution, variable-frequency drives, controls or heavy mobile equipment is an asset.
