Job summary

Giesecke+Devrient Currency Technology America, Inc. in Toronto, ON, is seeking a Level III Electromechanical Field Service Engineer to service, install and repair complex electromechanical equipment at customer sites.

You will diagnose failures, maintain high customer satisfaction, and prepare reports on product failure trends. This role requires up to 80% travel, including travel to the United States for mandatory training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or trade/technical certificate preferred.
• Minimum 4 years work experience, 2 in field service.
• Hands-on electro-mechanical equipment experience required.
• Customer-facing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to service calls promptly and maintains equipment at customer sites.
• Represents G+D in a highly professional manner.
• Performs administrative duties including record keeping and inventory management.
• Maintains technical competence through formal training programs and on-site training.
• Travels up to 80% as needed; may travel to the United States for mandatory training.
• Assists with onsite training of less experienced Field Engineers; acts as a communications focal point between technical support, management and customer.
