Job summary

Nokia invites applications for a 4-month Electromechanical Assembly Co-op/Intern position on-site in Canada. Candidate should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering in an accredited Canadian school.

You will support mechanical build lab activities and contribute to assembly and testing processes. You will gain hands-on experience with telecom product assembly, learn lab organization, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and organizing a mechanical build lab for new products, raw materials, assembly and finished goods areas.
• Mechanical assembly of telecommunication products: install heat-sinks, faceplates and cables onto printed circuit boards; install PCBs into mechanical assemblies; inspect and adjust units.
• Deliver completed assemblies to the test team and provide feedback on issues and improvements.
• Maintain an inventory of raw materials and completed assemblies.

Currently a candidate for a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• Assist in the maintenance and organization of a mechanical build lab for new products, Raw Materials, Assembly and Finished goods areas
• Mechanical assembly of telecommunication products:
  • Install heat-sinks, faceplates and cables onto printed circuit boards
  • Install printed circuit boards into mechanical assemblies
  • Inspect and adjust completed units to ensure they meet quality standards
• Deliver completed assemblies to the test team paying attention to the quality of assembly and providing feedback as to issues/improvements
• Maintain an inventory of raw materials and completed assemblies
