Oldcastle APG in Montérégie, QC, seeks an Electromechanic for the day shift. You will maintain and repair production equipment, participate in installing new machinery, and support operators to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Requirements include a DEP in Electromechanics, 5+ years in a similar role, welding and knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and automation. English proficiency to read machinery documentation is considered an asset. Overtime and on-call rotation apply.

Qualifications

• DEP in Electromechanics is required.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Practical welding experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity and automation.
• Preventive maintenance knowledge is an asset.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
• English language proficiency to understand machinery documentation.

Responsabilités

• Work safely and follow health and safety procedures.
• Inspect and maintain production equipment per schedule.
• Analyze, identify, and repair equipment breakdowns.
• Replace defective parts to ensure performance.
• Recommend equipment/tools to improve productivity.
• Participate in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• On-call every other week for evening shift (3:45 p.m.–10:00 p.m.).
• Maintain building and HVAC filtration.
• Perform rounds of utility systems (compressors, HVAC, pumps).
• Maintain forklifts and perform welding work.
• Keep workshop clean and organized.
• Support production operators as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

POSITION: ELECTROMECHANIC

We are currently seeking an Electromechanic for the day shift. Reporting to the Production and Building Maintenance Manager , the Electromechanic is responsible for:

Key Responsibilities

• Work safely and follow all health and safety procedures.
• Inspect and maintain production equipment according to a scheduled maintenance program (cleaning, lubrication, adjustments).
• Analyze, identify, and repair equipment breakdowns.
• Replace defective parts to ensure proper equipment performance.
• Recommend equipment and tools to improve productivity.
• Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Be on call every other week for the evening shift from 3:45 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
• Maintain the building (HVAC filter replacement, etc.).
• Perform inspection rounds of utility systems (compressors, HVAC systems, pumps).
• Maintain forklifts ( asset ).
• Perform welding work.
• Keep the mechanical workshop clean and organized.
• Support and assist production operators as needed.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.

General Requirements

• Vocational diploma (DEP) in Electromechanics.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Practical welding experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and automation.
• Knowledge of a preventive maintenance program is an asset.
• Forklift operator certification is an asset.
• Important asset: English language proficiency to understand machinery-related documentation.

Working Conditions
