Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret complex mechanical and electrical schematics and procedures.
  • Assemble electro-mechanical assemblies with precision and adherence to process.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot motors, sensors, and wire harness components.
  • Investigate and resolve assembly defects with senior technicians and engineers.
  • Run environmental screening using thermal chambers and vibration tables and analyze results.
  • Manage multiple priorities to meet project timelines and production goals.
  • Collaborate with operation engineers, production teams and management on technical challenges.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of assembly, testing, and troubleshooting results.
  • Perform diagnostic testing on customer-owned equipment when required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and implementing changes.

Electro-Mechanical Technician 12 month Co-op

Primary Responsibilities
  • Analyze and interpret complex mechanical and electrical schematics, ensuring precise execution of assembly, and testing procedures
  • Execute the assembly of complex electro-mechanical assemblies using precise attention to detail, and strict adherence to process. Handle and apply chemicals, primers and sealants as part of the assembly process, with strict adherence to PPE and safety protocols
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components, including but not limited to motors, sensors and wire harness assemblies, to ensure optimal system performance and reliability
  • Investigate and resolve assembly level defects by collaborating with senior technicians and engineers, contributing to continuous product development and process improvement
  • Execute environmental screening, operating thermal chambers and vibration tables, running tests scripts, and analyzing performance data to validate system integrity
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities, balancing assembly, testing, and troubleshooting tasks to meet critical project timelines and production goals
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration, work closely with Operation Engineers, production teams, and management to tackle complex technical challenges and drive innovative solutions
  • Ensuring meticulous documentation, maintaining detailed records of assembly, maintenance, test results, troubleshooting efforts and implemented solutions
  • Handle customer-owned equipment (as required), with precision and care, performing diagnostic testing, electro-mechanical repairs, and upgrades while ensuring compliance with all quality standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying inefficiencies in assembly processes, recommending enhancements, and implementing best practices to optimize system quality and workflow efficiency.
Required Capabilities
  • Technical Proficiency – Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and test procedures
  • Electro-Mechanical Technology Expertise – Assembling, configuring, and testing complex electromechanical systems
  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics – Identifying, analyzing and resolving electrical and mechanical issues
  • Software & Firmware Handling – Ability to load, configure and verify software on integrated hardware systems
  • Environmental & Performance Testing – Operate large test equipment
  • Strong Collaboration & Communication – Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with engineers, production teams and management.
