Job summary

L3Harris is recruiting an Electro-Mechanical Technician B for Waterdown, ON, on a 9/80 afternoon schedule. You will analyze schematics, assemble complex electro-mechanical units, and troubleshoot components to ensure reliability and quality.

Responsibilities include environmental screening, cross-functional collaboration, and detailed documentation while driving continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in the Mechanical and/or Electro-mechanical field
• Community College diploma in Mechanical Technician/Technology or equivalent
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing an asset
• Previous experience working in ISO9000, AS9100 environment
• College diploma in Electronics combined with demonstrated mechanical aptitude may be considered

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret complex mechanical and electrical schematics, ensuring precise execution of assembly and testing procedures
• Execute the assembly of complex electro-mechanical assemblies with strict adherence to procedures and PPE
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components to ensure optimal performance
• Investigate and resolve assembly defects with senior technicians and engineers
• Execute environmental screening with thermal chambers and vibration tables and analyze performance data
• Effectively manage multiple priorities to meet timelines and production goals
• Engage in cross-functional collaboration with engineers, production teams and management
• Maintain meticulous documentation of assembly, maintenance, test results and solutions
• Handle customer-owned equipment when required with precision and care
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and implementing best practices
