Job summary

West Red Lake Gold Mines Ltd. seeks Electrician Journeymen to join the Madsen Gold Mine in Red Lake, Ontario. The role supports milling operations on a 14/14 rotation, with fly-in/fly-out and camp accommodations to keep crews productive.

Ideal candidates are certified journeypersons with three years’ experience in milling or underground settings, and an interprovincial Red Seal (309A or 442A). You’ll demonstrate strong safety practices and a collaborative approach to maintenance and repair.

Qualifications

• Certified journeyperson with 3 years’ experience in milling operations or underground operations.
• Knowledge of electrical codes for mills and underground mines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical systems at the Madsen Gold Mine.
• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with codes.
• Collaborate with operations to minimize downtime and optimize power supply.

What You’ll Need

• High School diploma or GED
• Journeyperson certified with 3 years’ experience in milling operations or underground operations
• Interprovincial trade certification (Red Seal) 309A or 442A
• Knowledge of electrical codes for mills and/or underground mines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s licence
• Must be willing to complete a criminal background check, pre-employment physical and drug and alcohol test
