Job summary

Ledcor is seeking experienced Journeyman or Apprentice Electricians for an industrial Potash Mine project in Calgary, Alberta. You will join the Ledcor team to support electrical installations on a major industrial site, with outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, cable and tray installation, wiring fixtures and panels, and testing circuits. A valid ticket or active apprenticeship is required, with pre-access drug testing and a willingness to

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson ticket or active apprenticeship per provincial authority.
  • Industrial construction experience preferred.
  • Must pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
  • Fall Protection and MEWP experience/assets a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, architectural drawings and electrical code specs.
  • Pull cables and install cable trays.
  • Wire lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, control panels.
  • Install electrical systems and related equipment.
  • Test circuits for integrity and safety.
  • Troubleshoot and fix defective circuits.
  • Mentor apprentice electricians.

Job description

We are seeking experienced Journeyman or Apprentice Electrician to support us on an industrial project. You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team working on the Potash Mine project for our client.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, architectural drawings and electrical code specifications
  • Pulling cables and cable tray installation
  • Wire lighting fixtures, plugs, switches, control panels
  • Install electrical systems and other related electrical equipment
  • Test circuits to ensure integrity and safety
  • Ability to troubleshoot and fix defective circuits
  • Willing to act as a mentor to apprentice Electricians
Qualifications
  • Experience of working on a construction project in an industrial setting
  • Have a Journeyperson ticket or be registered in an apprenticeship from a recognized provincial training authority
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • Fall Protection and Mobile Elevated Work Platform is an asset.
Working Conditions
  • 14/7 rotation working 10 hours/day with possibility of additional OT
  • Day and Night Shift available
  • Travel/flight allowance for provided for non-local residents
  • Camp based accommodation

  • Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
