Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Industrial Electricians for an upcoming assignment in Southwest Ontario. The role involves long shifts (10-12 hours), four days per week when on project, with benefits including paid travel, hotel accommodations, and flight support.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintenance of plant equipment, reading electrical schematics, PLC programming, and working with hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid 442A certificate.
• Minimum 1 year of industrial electrician experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of hydraulic or pneumatic equipment.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical skills and PLC programming experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting for expedient repair of plant equipment.
• Maintain and repair building systems including fans, pumps and auxiliary systems.
• Read and apply electrical codes and schematics; follow manufacturer specs.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot relay logic and ladder diagrams.
• Read electrical schematics and follow diagrams and specs.
• Troubleshoot and program PLCs.
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Run power lines to production equipment per safety codes.

Job description

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Industrial Electricians for an upcoming assignment in Southwest Ontario.

This position will require you to work 10-12 hour shifts, 4 days per week when assigned to a project.

You will earn:

• $75 per hour before overtime
• $30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)
• Paid Travel (up to 4 hours)
• Hotel Accommodations Provided (when required)
• Flight Provided (when required)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide troubleshooting skills for the expedient repair of all plant equipment and facilities.
• Building maintenance and repairs including fans, pumps, aux. systems
• Knowledge of local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment as required.
• Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of relay logic, ladder diagrams & controls components.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics as well as follow diagrams, sketches, manufacturer's instructions and engineering specifications.
• Strong understanding of PLC troubleshooting/programming
• Knowledge and experience with Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
• Ability to run power lines to production or service equipment according to tables and safety codes.
