Job summary

GTA Electrical & Mechanical Services Inc. is seeking experienced Electricians for a permanent, full-time role in Hamilton, ON. The position involves driving to multiple job sites, reading drawings, wiring layouts, and installing and maintaining electrical systems.

• 3–4 years of relevant experience in construction/residential industry.
• Apprentice registration is required; 309C licence is an asset.
• Completion of a four- to five-year apprenticeship program in Ontario or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle to job sites.
• Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts.
• Pull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors.
• Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
• Install, replace and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment.
• Splice, join and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits.
• Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system, following installation, replacement or repair.
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components.
• Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signalling devices and heating and cooling systems.
• Update work orders at each shift outlining scope completion and material used. Ensure all tools are put back in company vehicle at end of shift.
• Maintain housekeeping at job sites and ensure all PPE compliance

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive company vehicle to job sites.
