Job summary

DMC Mining Services is seeking Electricians for full-time contract work based in Sudbury, ON. You will install, maintain and repair electrical wiring and equipment, ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards.

The role requires 3 years underground experience, an Electrician License, and ability to read prints. On-site work with comprehensive benefits and retirement plan offered.

Qualifications

• Electrician license is required.
• Underground basic core training completed (770010 series).
• Minimum three years of experience working underground preferred.

Job description

Summary

DMC is currently looking for Electricians to join our team on a full-time contract basis, based in Sudbury, ON. The Electricians, reporting to the Supervisor, will install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and equipment and ensure that all work is in accordance with relevant codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality maintenance work as directed by their supervisor.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair
• Demonstrate the ability to read complex prints along with an exceptional understanding of electrical codes
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring equipment using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Must be experienced and comfortable working at heights.
• Must follow standard safety operating procedures.
• Takes responsibility for aspects of occupational health and safety, and environmental matters, over which the individual has control, including adherence to all requirements applicable to DMC.
• Have a completed personal basic trade tool inventory of a recognized quality.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills are expected
• 3 years' experience working underground

Working Environment

• Working in a mining, industrial setting.
• Travel to work site locations.
• Site conditions may include outdoors, dark, wet, inclement weather, and uneven ground.
• Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time.
• Vehicle - passenger or driver.
• Comfortable working at heights.

Additional Information

• We are hiring to fill an existing vacancy.
• Hourly range is expected to be between: $20 to $28 (CAD) + hourly incentive bonus.
