Job summary

Energy Network Services Inc is seeking a skilled Electrician to plan layouts, install and repair wiring for commercial lighting systems, and maintain equipment with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service. The candidate will work on-site and collaborate with management and apprentices to ensure high-quality results.

The ideal candidate holds a Journeyperson license, a valid driver's license, and is able to work days, evenings, or nights as required, with preference for candidates

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Journeyperson's license (Construction Electrician) required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Fall Protection, First Aid, and Aerial Work Platform training/certificates preferred.
• Ability to pass a security background check and strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sketches or follow diagrams to locate wiring and equipment.
• Plan installations to minimize waste and ensure future maintenance access.
• Layout and install wiring, equipment, or fixtures per specs and codes.
• Install switches, relays, panel boards, feeders, and switchgear.
• Repair faulty equipment or systems.
• Work from ladders/scaffolds/roofs to install or maintain wiring.
• Advise management on safety hazards of operating equipment.
• Train apprentices as required.

Job description

As an Electrician, you will plan layouts, install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment for various lighting industries. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial lighting and electrical maintenance, as well as promote the core values of Energy Network Services Inc. through excellent customer service and assuring the safety of all work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares sketches showing the location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
• Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications, safety codes and local electrical codes.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels; install electrical feeders, power systems and/or switchgear.
• Repairs faulty equipment or systems.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Train apprentices as required

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree
• Musthave a valid Journeyperson's License (Construction Electrician Occupation)
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Applicable training certificates as required (Fall Protection, First Aid, Aerial Work Platform
• Must be able to pass a security background check
• Ability to multitask while staying organized
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Positive customer service skills
• Experience in lighting is a requirement
• Must be available to work days, evenings and or nights as required
