Fraser Health Authority is seeking a Casual Electrician for Eagle Ridge Hospital in Port Moody, BC. The role requires a Certificate of Apprenticeship or Journeyman Electrician recognized by BC, a valid BC driver's license, and two years of related experience. The position may involve work at more than one site within Fraser Health.

• Certificate of Apprenticeship or Journeyman Electrician recognized by the Province of BC.
• Two years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsabilités

• Installs new electrical services for new equipment and alters existing services where necessary.
• Repairs and maintains equipment such as electric motors, fire alarm systems, nurse call systems, electric dryers, building automation system, etc.
• Performs preventative maintenance on electrical facilities such as motor control panel centres, electrical panels, transfer switches, etc.
• Performs all the duties of a Maintenance Worker V.
• Maintains stock of electrical supplies and parts.
• Assists in inspecting and supervising electrical work being done by electrical contractors.
• Assists in planning, estimating and costing labour and materials for new projects and equipment installations. Interprets blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine material and equipment required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Detailed Overview

Under the general supervision of theManager, performs journeyman tasks relating to the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of the electrical facilities and equipment in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

Position may be required to work at more than one site.

Qualifications
