Iconic Power Systems in Calgary is seeking a Journeyperson Electrician to lead on high voltage and distribution construction projects. You will oversee day-to-day site activities, prioritize safety and quality, and collaborate with the Construction Manager and Supervisors to keep projects profitable and on schedule.

The role requires 4+ years’ journeyperson experience in HV, distribution construction, and strong skills in electrical distribution systems, mentoring apprentices, and proficient use

Formación

• 4+ years’ experience as a Journeyperson in high voltage, electrical or distribution construction.
• Experience with underground, overhead, substations and/or streetlighting.
• Ability to coach and mentor apprentices.
• Strong communication skills with colleagues and the public.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Review project safety and environmental policies and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with Foreman to align daily work scope and materials.
• Lead daily tailboard meetings and complete safety documentation.

Electrician’s ’ will ensure that activities are being completed safely and efficiently all while upholding a strong dedication to quality. They will be proficient in all areas of electrical maintenance and construction. Electrician ’s will work closely with the Construction Manager and Supervisors to ensure that projects are profitable and delivered on time.

Education

Experience

• 4+ years’ experience as a Journeyperson involved in high voltage, electrical or distribution construction

Skills

• Knowledgeable in electrical distribution systems: underground, overhead, substations, and/or streetlighting.
• Skilled in coaching and mentoring apprentices.
• Proficient with computer software such as Excel, Word, and PDF editors.
• Possess the ability to communicate clearly and effectively while building strong relationships with colleagues, and the public.

Duties

Leadership

• Demonstrate and uphold core Iconic values.
• Coach and model positive behavior in safety, conduct, and mentorship for apprentices.

Operations

• Utilize Iconic-provided software and Apple products daily.
• Provide scheduled after-hours/on-call support.
• Lead and participate in daily tailboard meetings.
• Complete required daily safety documentation (FLHA).
• Diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Review and adhere to project safety and environmental policies.
• Understand project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Submit daily timesheets through ADP.
• Collaborate with Supervisor to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
• Identify and report potential changes in project scope to Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Ensure team safety and compliance with client guidelines, including limits of approach.
• Review and adhere to corporate policies and procedures.
• Verify all installations meet or exceed CEC standards and customer requirements.
• Understand project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate daily work scope and material needs with the Foreman.
• Assist with quality control inspections and documentation.
• Develop and manage Lockout/Tagout procedures for energy isolation.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required.
