Job summary

Plan Group, Inc. in Ontario seeks an Electrical VDC (BIM) Team Lead to coordinate and deliver electrical design drawings for large Design Build and P3 projects across Ontario.

You will prepare detailed layouts for power distribution, grounding, lighting, fire safety, access control, CCTV, and building automation, interfacing with structural, architectural and mechanical teams. The ideal candidate has post‑secondary electrical training with 3–5 years in construction, advanced Autodesk skills

Qualifications

• Post-secondary training in electrical with 3–5 years in construction.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems from design to installation.
• Advanced Autodesk skills including AutoCAD, MEP, Revit and Revizto.
• Ability to lead and coordinate multiple trade teams in meetings.
• Proficient Windows Office Suite and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager to coordinate the work.
• Prepare detailed drawings, layouts and working plans from instructions and sketches.
• Develop installation drawings for electrical systems (power, lighting, fire alarm, CCTV, building automation).
• Interact with project team to create accurate drawings within schedule.
• Review design drawings and provide feedback to meet requirements.
• Host and attend coordination meetings and support team decisions.
• Navigate drawings from structural, architectural, electrical and mechanical perspectives.
• Perform technical calculations including voltage drop and conduit fill.
