Overview: Mayday Personnel is excited to be working with a well-established engineering business looking for a Trainee CAD Technician on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and successful running of the business. The Trainee CAD Technician role is available for someone to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

1. Learning 2D drawings as per company standard
2. Working closely with the technician team
3. Ensuring the drawings are accurate, up-to-date, and kept within company guidelines
4. Understanding project requirements to ensure drawings are delivered in a timely manner to meet the required deadlines
5. Completing multiple projects and their modifications within the pre-determined deadlines
6. Ensuring detail-oriented work to generate designs accurately
7. Following complex instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings

Qualifications:

• HNC / HND LEVEL AutoCAD
• 2 years CAD Technician experience
• Electrical CAD experience desirable
• Experience in producing electrical schematic drawings
• Understanding of electrical engineering principles
• Understanding of manufacturing processes
• Good attention to detail
• Experience working in a small team
• Ability to meet deadlines

Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm
• Lunch break: 1 hour unpaid

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
