Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced TML3 Electrical Technician/Technologist to join the Retube Tooling & Field Services Department in Canada. You will support assembly, integration, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of automated tooling used in nuclear refurbishment and field service projects.

Your role involves wiring, troubleshooting Siemens PLCs, configuring test setups, and producing test and maintenance documentation while collaborating with engineering and field teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with electrical control panels, wiring, and testing.
• Experience with Siemens PLCs, drives, and industrial control hardware is an asset.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and markup drawings for as-built conditions.
• Safety‑focused and able to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Set up, test, and commission automated and robotic tooling.
• Assemble, wire, inspect, and maintain electrical control panels and cable assemblies.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, drives, instrumentation, and control-system hardware.
• Perform tooling refurbishment, preventive maintenance, and diagnostic testing.
• Configure mock-ups and test apparatus for tooling development.
• Support PLC, LabVIEW, motion-control, and data-acquisition during integration.
• Use multimeters, meggers, and test equipment to diagnose faults.
• Prepare test reports and maintenance documentation.
• Identify improvements to automated and robotic control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, vendor, and field-service teams.
