Job summary

Flaman Group is seeking an Electrical Technician for the Grain Systems & Cleaning Division based out of Saskatoon, SK. This field-based role travels to jobs across Saskatchewan, offering hands-on troubleshooting and on-site system maintenance to support local producers.

You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair grain handling equipment, install wiring and upgrades, and perform preventative maintenance while documenting work orders and ensuring safety standards on every job.

Qualifications

• Electrical diploma or certificate is required.
• Journeyman ticket not required.
• Experience reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
• Understanding of grain handling, cleaning, or conveying systems is a plus.
• Commitment to safety, organization, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair grain cleaning, storage, and conveyance equipment focusing on electrical, electronic, and control components.
• Install new equipment, wiring, and system upgrades to meet manufacturer and Flaman standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize system downtime for producers.
• Complete work orders with accurate documentation and material records.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work spaces on site.

What Your Day Might Look Like

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair grain cleaning, storage, and conveyance equipment, focusing on electrical, electronic, and control components

Install new equipment, wiring, and system upgrades, ensuring all units meet manufacturer and Flaman standards

Perform preventative maintenance to keep system downtime low for producers

Complete work orders with accurate documentation and material records

Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work spaces on site

What You Bring to the Team

Hands-on electrical technician experience, electrical diploma/certificate, or relevant trade experience (journeyman ticket not required)

Proven ability to read wiring diagrams, troubleshoot electrical circuits, and work with control panels

Familiarity or strong understanding of grain handling, cleaning, or conveying systems (asset)

Excellent problem-solving, diagnostic, and technical skills

Commitment to safety, organization, and teamwork

Clear communication skills to keep jobs running smoothly on site
