A technical services company in Nisku is looking for an Electrical Tech I to perform repairs and maintenance on down-hole tool electronics. The ideal candidate will ensure safe and efficient operations, manage inventory for incoming tools, and participate in client safety programs. Qualifications

• Requires a technical school certificate or equivalent.
• Basic electronic service background would be an asset.
• Able to read and understand mechanical and electronic schematics.
• Basic hand tools use (e.g., chain tong, multimeter, power supply, torque wrench, etc.).
• Basic computer skill required.
• Basic Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Word, TEAMS, Email).
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Work may be repetitive at times & high demand.
• Able to read and understand mechanical and electronic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, calibration, and inspections on down-hole tool electronics.
• Inventory management and service of incoming tools.
• Participate in multiple client safety programs.
• Perform service on various M/LWD downhole tool – Perform daily maintenance equipment check (Break out Machine, overhead crane, forklift, etc.)
• MUST be able to follow process and procedure on all types of tools (checklist, Dozuki, etc.)
• Inventory Management – Service and cleaning of incoming tools
• Participate in multiple client safety Programs

Overview

Dovre Canada Limited is pleased to offer the following opportunity: Electrical Tech I located in Nisku, Alberta.

Responsibilities

• Under strict supervision, performs repairs, preventative maintenance, calibration, and inspections on down-hole tool electronics and other equipment used in the application for down-hole tools, including Directional/ RSS or M/LWD sensors.
• Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
• Areas of specialization may include: mechanical aptitude, electronics aptitude, computer skills, assembly and disassembly of tools associated with PSL equipment, or Measure while Drilling and/or Logging While Drilling down-hole tools.
• Perform service on various M/LWD downhole tool – Perform daily maintenance equipment check (Break out Machine, overhead crane, forklift, etc.)
