Job summary

Powell Canada Inc. in Edmonton, AB, seeks an Assembler to join the Switchgear Assembly team. You will assemble electrical units and related components, following drawings and instructions, and repair discrepancies as needed.

This role requires safety compliance and teamwork in a manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and 0–3 years of manufacturing experience, with basic reading of tape measures and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Minimum education level of a High School Diploma is required.
• Must be able to read a tape measure (fraction/decimal conversions).
• Knowledge of machines and tools including design, use, repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble mechanical components for Switchgear units.
• Assemble Switchgear units as per drawings and instructions.
• Repair identified discrepancies with Switchgear units.
• Promote a safety culture and attend safety meetings.
• Ensure quality by following standard work instructions and identify risks to product quality.
• Keep work areas clean and well organized.
