Qualifications

• 3-5 Jahre Erfahrung im Bauwesen erforderlich.
• Fähigkeit, technische Zeichnungen und Spezifikationen zu lesen.

Eastern Canada District's projects include highways, bridges, mass transit, mine site development & open pit operations, hydroelectric powerhouses, wind-power plants, dams & industrial facilities. They serve the construction and mining industries and operate in Eastern Canada.

Location

The initial assignment for this role is in Ottawa on our OLRT project.

Responsibilities

Field Coordination:

• Assist in interpreting drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision, including site plans, electrical single line diagrams, cable and conduit schedules.
• Assist in preparing work plans and work packages.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate with subcontractors and internal resources to ensure successful project execution.
• Order and schedule material deliveries.
• Support field surveying and work layout, including elevation, control points, and as-built data compilation.
• Verify correct circuit installations within scope of work.
• Assist in preparing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
• Participate in safety reviews, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training sessions.
• Support supervision of field operations.
• Perform material takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Assist project engineers in preparing data for submittals and communication with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and agencies.
• Help prepare purchase orders and subcontracts, including minor solicitations and procurement tasks.
• Assist in schedule updates and maintenance.
• Maintain project records, including daily reports, photos, RFIs, and memos.
• Contribute to change order generation and as-built data review.
• Provide support and supervision of subcontractor operations in the field.

Qualifications

• Experience with street lighting and traffic signals is an asset.
• General electrical proficiency required.
• 3-5 years of construction field engineering experience.
• Experience in electrical construction projects is advantageous.
• Ability to read engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Ability to access all points of a construction site safely.
• Motivated, proactive, and committed to excellence.
