Job Location : Superintendents are required to travel to the construction site on rotation. We have various sites across Canada.

Job Summary : The Electrical Superintendent works in collaboration with the General Superintendent / Site Manager. They are responsible for overseeing the construction activities related to electrical scopes of work, especially on the substation and collector system.

• High school diploma and technical trade certifications / card / diploma (according to the province) or relevant experience
• 10+ years of experience in similar functions
• Experience with substation or collection systems
• Experience working with high voltage
• Fluent in English; French is an asset
• High geographical mobility
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent teamwork and attitude
• Autonomy and leadership
• Strong team management and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to adapt to high-stress environments and weather fluctuations (construction site)

What you will do to complete this mission successfully :

• Organize construction activities and ensure the completion of work by the workforce and/or subcontractors
• Provide solutions to production problems and technical issues
• Understand contract scope and ensure clear communication to trades or subcontractors
• Implement all changes related to work in their field provided by professionals
• Maintain a daily log of all site activities
• Be responsible for their specific section in the monthly (MMM) and weekly reports
• Ensure as-built drawings are properly marked
• Check and prepare material orders related to supervised work
• Maintain site files on supplies, equipment, and services
• Supervise inspections by field engineers, subcontractors, and external participants
• Identify, document, and eliminate risks and hazards
• Collect and approve timesheets daily
• Maintain professionalism with owners, workers, consultants, and coworkers
• Participate actively in all project meetings
• Coach assistant superintendents and foremen for their professional development
