Job summary

Houle is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator, Service Projects in Burnaby to drive electrical project initiatives from capture to completion. You will estimate, tender, and manage projects while maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

The role emphasizes accurate budgeting, contract review, and on-site presence as needed, with growth opportunities across BC's diverse service projects.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade certificate or Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Technologist diploma/certificate.
• 2 years' experience in Electrical Project Management and/or Estimating.
• Experience estimating projects and/or change orders.
• Experience in electrical service (commercial projects) preferred.
• FSR B, an asset.
• Knowledge of estimating programs, specifically Accubid, an asset.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Strong communication and team working skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients and identify potential business opportunities.
• Estimate projects and submit tenders.
• Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers, consultants, general contractors and end users.
• Manage project financials (including billing), purchasing, schedules and labour.
• Mitigate project risk, deficiencies and estimate changes as needed.
• Work with internal stakeholders, field staff and customers, to ensure projects remain on track, on budget and meet expectations.
• Be present on jobsites when required and review project upon completion to discuss success and challenges.
• Review the project at completion with the foreman and superintendent to discuss successes and challenges.
