Edison College in Nanaimo, BC, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee electrical construction projects from startup through closeout. You will coordinate with in-house and external teams, manage budgets, schedules, and compliance while maintaining design integrity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a Project Manager role.
• Experience in the electrical construction industry is highly preferred.
• Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans.
• Have oral and written communication expertise with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings and perform counts.
• Develop project plan, budget, and goals.
• Review contract and project documents.
• Create and manage construction schedules.
• Oversee production of layout drawings and shop drawings.
• Procure and review major equipment orders; ensure timely delivery.
• Allocate resources with Site Supervisor and Foremen.
• Monitor cost, quality, schedule and safety performance.
• Communicate project progress through regular meetings.
