Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation’s Sensors & Controls division in Stratford, ON is seeking an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer. You will design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for electro-mechanical assemblies and help ensure designs are manufacturable.

Collaborating with design engineering, you will build testing procedures, review drawings, and drive continuous improvement to increase productivity and reduce costs while maintaining quality and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Electrical background preferred.
  • 3–5+ years in Manufacturing Engineering with an Electrical focus.
  • Knowledge of brushless DC motors, rotary transformers, and CAD for tool design.
  • Experience evaluating and improving manufacturing processes, equipment, documentation, and training.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes Manufacturing process flow and work instruction.
  • Create and update manufacturing standard procedures defining specific processes.
  • Coordinate release of new products with design engineering and review drawings prior to release.
  • Analyze labor standards and production data to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate engineering changes with cross-functional teams.

Job description

Our Sensors & Controls division, located in Stratford, ON, is looking for an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. As our Electrical Manufacturing Engineer, you will design, develop, and implement methods and operational processes for the manufacture of electro-mechanical assemblies. You will also be a key team player in reviewing new product designs for manufacturability, building testing procedures, and continuous improvement project.

Salary:

$70,000 - $95,000

Your Challenge
  • Establishes Manufacturing process flow and work instruction.
  • Create and update manufacturing standard procedure, which defines specific manufacturing processes.
  • Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products and conduct review of engineering drawings prior to release.
  • Performs various operational or methods analyses related to labor standards and reviews product/project flow data, equipment and labor requirements for use in conducting manufacturing operations, increasing productivity and reducing production unit cost.
  • Coordinates the evaluation of engineering changes and/or other specifications requirements and performs as technical liaison with other engineering personnel such as program management, finance, design, quality, procurement, inspection, and production.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable Engineering field. Electrical Engineering degree or background preferred.
  • 3-5+ years in a Manufacturing Engineering role with an Electrical Engineering focus.
  • Working knowledge of brushless DC motors and rotary transformers desired.Strong CAD Software skills for tool design.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate, create, and improve manufacturing processes including equipment, documentation, and training.
