Solvest is seeking a permanent Red Seal Electrical Journeyperson to join the Operations Department in Toronto, Ontario. This role involves working on commercial and utility-scale solar and renewable energy projects across Northern Canada.
Your responsibilities will include conducting electrical work, mentoring apprentices, and ensuring compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code. The position offers a competitive wage of $40 - $52 per hour, along with benefits after three months.

Solvest is seeking a permanent Red Seal Electrical Journeyperson to join the Operations Department! Solvest electricians work on commercial and utility scale solar, battery and microgrid projects throughout the Yukon, Northwest Territories (NWT), and Nunavut. Electricians work directly with Solvest construction teams to install electrical systems of various sizes across Northern Canada.
The typical schedule includes seasonal full-time shift work, comprising 40 hours per week with frequent overtime. The role consists of out-of-town shift work, typically with rotations of 2 weeks, allowing you to explore beautiful Northern wilderness.

Permanent Full Time – 40 hours per week + frequent overtime during peak times
$40 - $52 per hour (based on experience) + overtime and per diems + annual profit-sharing bonus based on company performance
Three weeks of paid vacation to start (15 days) + 5 paid sick days per year
