Surepoint on Vancouver Island is seeking Electricians of all levels. Applicants must be local or willing to relocate.

You will install and maintain conduit systems, interpret drawings, and mentor apprentices at our Vancouver Island branch. The role requires a Journeyman or indentured apprenticeship, valid Class 5 license, and relevant safety certifications; Oil and Gas experience is an asset. Qualifications

• Certification as Journeyman Electrician or indentured apprentice.
• Valid Class 5 license with a clean driver abstract.
• H2S, First Aid, OSSA Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSO, and CSTS certifications are assets.
• Oil and Gas experience in construction or maintenance is an asset.
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors in varying weather and at heights.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all company environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
• Complete cutting, threading, bending, and assembling rigid, aluminum and conduit systems.
• Install and maintain EMT and PVC piping systems, batteries, solar panels, voltage regulators, MCC equipment, heat trace, and VFDs.
• Interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to execute installation and troubleshooting.
• Understand and apply basic circuit fundamentals, AC properties, heating/cooling systems, and three-phase systems.
• Test electrical equipment and components for current, voltage and OHMS.
• Responsible for material ordering and QAQC documents for the project.
• Work with, mentor and support apprentices.
