Job summary

Weyerhaeuser’s Timberstrand plant in Kenora, Ontario, seeks an Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor to lead a team of electricians and technicians in a 24/7 non-union manufacturing environment.

You will plan maintenance, oversee safety and reliability, and drive continuous improvement while reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent. Strong leadership and PLC/CMMS skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role in an industrial environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills.
• Trades certification or Post-secondary diploma in technology or engineering required.
• Proven analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with CMMS (SAP) preferred.
• Experience with process control (PLC) is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to raise performance through coaching and development.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and lead daily activities of Electricians, Process Control Technicians and contractors.
• Ensure safety, quality and maintenance of equipment and facilities to meet plant objectives.
• Manage prioritization of maintenance requests and resources using computer-based systems.
• Lead and develop the Electrical team, ensuring effective communication across shifts and with production.
• Proactively resolve issues and uphold site policies and procedures.
