Role Overview
In this expanded leadership role, you will be responsible for a wide range of operational and team management duties, including but not limited to:
- Acting as the main point of contact for field staff regarding project-related inquiries and guidance.
- Delegating and supervising daily field tasks to maintain consistent workflow and reduce dependence on office support for follow-ups.
- Ensuring the prompt submission of essential job documentation, such as:
- Time & Material (T&M) sheets
- Box and pot counts
- Rough-in and finishing sheets
- Conducting bi-annual performance evaluations and providing continuous mentorship.
- Overseeing field staff performance, attendance, and training.
- Promoting technical growth within the team and supporting their development into more skilled, independent electricians.
- Coordinating meetings and meeting project deadlines
- Preparing documentation for permits
- Ensuring inspections are passed successfully
- Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage field crews effectively.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, inspectors, and internal teams.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced troubleshooting capabilities and in-depth knowledge of electrical systems.
- Organization & Time Management: Skilled at overseeing multiple crews and managing complex project timelines.
- Problem Solving: Adept at resolving on-site challenges and addressing client concerns quickly.
- Safety Compliance: Thorough understanding of OH&S standards and commitment to upholding site safety practices.
Administrative & Business Skills
- Experience with job costing, quoting, and workflow documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and project management tools such as Buildertrend, ServiceTitan, or simPRO.
- Ability to accurately interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and permit documentation.
- Solid knowledge of inspection processes, permitting requirements, and regulatory compliance.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background checks as required.
- Preferred certifications include: First Aid, WHMIS, and Fall Protection.
- Willingness to assist with hands-on fieldwork as needed.
