Job summary

Liburdi Dimetrics Corporation is seeking an Electrical Field Technician to install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain automated robotic welding equipment at internal facilities and customer sites across North America.

The role requires up to 50% travel, including potential nights, with base hours typically 7:30 am–4:00 pm at the Dundas, Ontario plant; occasional night shifts at client sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• Electrical/electronic or electromechanical technician or technologist diploma is required.
• 3-5 years of experience in a welding equipment manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Willingness to travel within North America; occasional international travel is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, set up and repair automated welding equipment.
• Travel to customer sites in North America; up to ~50% of the role.
• Maintain equipment service logs and spare parts lists.
• Install, set up and commission equipment at Liburdi facilities and at customer sites.

Job Description

We are currently seeking full-time Electrical Field Technicians to install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain automated robotic welding equipment at both internal production facilities and international customer sites. Regular travel within North America, including the Golden Horseshoe, is required and is expected to account for at least 50% of the role. Travel may be required with as little as 48 hours’ notice. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm when based at our Dundas, Ontario manufacturing facility. While at customer sites, the successful candidate must be flexible to support both day and night shifts.

Base salary:$65,000 - $75,000 / year (Plus applicable travel premiums)

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Troubleshooting, installing, setting up and repairing automated welding equipment
  


• Maintaining equipment service logs
  


• Maintaining spare parts lists
  


• Installing, setting up and commissioning equipment at site at Liburdi’s production facilities
  


• Completing quality testing of robotic welding systems
  


• Providing equipment maintenance and calibration support for Liburdi fleet of equipment
  


• Intermittent lifting up to 50lb
  


• Occasionally working in confined spaces, at heights or other potentially hazardous worksites
  


• Occasional international travel to customer sites for extended periods of time

• Previous experience self-booking travel arrangements is an asset
  


• 3-5 years’ experience working in a welding equipment manufacturing environment is preferred
  


• Awareness of ISO 9001
