Job summary

GDI Ainsworth in Vancouver is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join its growing team. The Estimator will prepare accurate, complete, and competitive estimates for retrofit projects across industrial, commercial, and institutional markets, coordinating with Project Managers, Service Managers, and Foremen to align scope, pricing, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor requirements.

Candidates should have a minimum of five years in electrical estimating or related roles, strong knowledge

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications and tender documents to support accurate estimates.
• Prepare material and labour take-offs for bids and tenders.
• Coordinate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Review estimates with Project/Service Managers and Foremen for alignment on costs.
• Prepare complete tenders quantifying all material, labour, equipment and subcontractor costs.
• Maintain bid tracking and data entry into CRM systems.
• Use estimating software effectively and collaborate with the software provider.
