Job summary

GDI Ainsworth seeks a Senior Electrical Estimator to develop accurate estimates for Tenant Improvements in commercial/institutional markets. You will review drawings/specifications, compile take-offs, and coordinate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.

You will present estimates to Project Managers and Foremen to ensure alignment on labour, materials and costs. The role requires 5–8 years of estimating experience, ACU-BID proficiency, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years estimating experience in a trade background or degree/diploma in electrical engineering or technology.
• Experience producing design build proposals / estimates.
• Proficiency with ACU-BID (estimation software).
• Trade Certificate would be a great asset.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications and drawings to prepare accurate estimates.
• Develop material and labour take-offs and price packages.
• Coordinate with suppliers/subcontractors/owners/designers/architects for tenders/bid requests.
• Review estimates with Project Managers, Service Managers and Foremen.
