Job summary

POWERGROUP Resources on behalf of Cornell Feenstra Electric Ltd. is seeking an Electrical Estimator to prepare cost estimates for residential and commercial projects across Ontario. The role requires analyzing blueprints, sourcing pricing, and collaborating with managers and clients to refine estimates.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of electrical estimating experience, familiarity with Accubid/Trimble, and knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code. Ontario 309A license is an asset.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of electrical estimating experience for residential and commercial projects.
• Proficient in takeoffs and bid preparation.
• Familiar with Ontario Electrical Safety Code and industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate electrical cost estimates for residential and commercial projects.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project scopes to determine labor, material, and time requirements.
• Assist in preparing bid proposals and tracking project costs.
• Source and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with project managers, senior estimators, and clients to refine estimates and ensure project efficiency.
• Stay up to date on Ontario Electrical Safety Code and industry best practices.

What you will do

• Familiarity with estimating software such as Accubid, Trimble, or similar.
• Experience in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
• Experience sourcing and evaluating pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ontario 309A Electrical License (or working towards it) is an asset.

• Salary - $ 55,000 - $ 75,000 per year - commensurate with experience and qualifications
