Groupe Génitique is seeking electrical engineering design technicians to work on niche hydroelectric projects and high/very high voltage substations with switchgear, control and protection systems.

Ideal candidates have a college diploma in electrical engineering or related fields and a passion for learning. Telework options exist, and we support a balanced, dynamic workplace culture focused on autonomy and quality of life.

Here’s The Profile We’re Looking For

• 3 positions available: 0-2 years of experience, 3-5 years of experience, and 5-10 years of experience;
• Hold a college diploma in electrical engineering or any other relevant field (instrumentation, electrotechnics, etc.);
• Be curious, have a real thirst for learning and developing in the field of hydroelectricity;
• Know (or have a strong interest in knowing) the role and characteristics of the equipment in an electrical substation;
• Know (or have a strong interest in knowing) the basic rules for assembling and installing electrical equipment and those for creating wiring diagrams;
• Advantage: knowledge of the basic rules for creating 2D/3D drawings, calculation books, and quotes specific to supply and installation;
• Advantage: ability to assess the costs of different jobs as well as the risks associated with electrical installations;
• Above all, be passionate about the company’s core values: competence, autonomy, respect, and quality of life.
