Job summary

Denison Mines Corp. seeks an Electrical Engineering Lead for the Wheeler River Project to guide EIC discipline, coordinating engineering activities from design through commissioning. This rotational, site-based role is based in Northern Saskatchewan, with cross-disciplinary collaboration to meet safety, quality, cost and schedule targets.

You will mentor teams, participate in hazards reviews, support procurement, and ensure technical direction across engineering contractors and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in Saskatchewan.
  • 7+ years of progressive engineering and/or leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of multidisciplinary engineering practices, standards, and design processes.
  • Experience in uranium, mining, heavy industrial, or similar environments is asset.
  • Experience across the equipment design lifecycle, including specifications, procurement, vendor engineering, and design review.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with engineering firms, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Electrical Engineering Lead provides technical leadership for the Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls discipline at the Wheeler River Project. The role is responsible for coordinating engineering activities, providing technical direction, and ensuring designs and deliverables meet project requirements for safety, quality, cost, and schedule. Working closely with the Project Team, engineering contractors, and vendors, the Electrical Engineering Lead supports the successful delivery of the project from engineering through procurement, construction and commissioning. This is a rotational, site-based role based in Northern Saskatchewan.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead electrical engineering activities for the Wheeler River Project, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance across engineering strategy, design standards, and project execution
  • Coordinate with the Project Team and engineering contractors to deliver engineering activities against scope, schedule, cost, quality, and value requirements
  • Provide technical assurance and oversight of engineering work completed by engineering firms, vendors, and service providers
  • Support equipment specifications, procurement activities, vendor engineering and design review processes
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key vendors, contractors, and technical stakeholders
  • Participate in the HAZOPs, risk assessments, and other technical reviews
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and project personnel
  • Act as Technical Authority when assigned
REQUIREMENTS

You are an experienced Electrical Engineering professional with strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities. You are comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams, providing technical direction, and delivering complex engineering activities in a project environment. In addition, you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in Saskatchewan
  • 7+ years of progressive engineering and/or leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of multidisciplinary engineering practices, standards, and design processes
  • Experience in uranium, mining, heavy industrial, or similar environments is considered an asset
