Job summary

Oxa is hiring an Electrical Engineer and Wireman to build and test wiring harnesses and sensor looms for autonomous industrial vehicles. You will assemble, test, and troubleshoot harnesses, assist in loom design, and support CAN diagnostics on active platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent.
• 2–3 years minimum with physical wiring systems, loom construction, or hardware assembly.
• Proficient in surface-mount soldering, cable routing, and fine-pitch assembly.
• Track record of building complex sensor looms and wiring harnesses.
• Experience with CAN networks and diagnostics.
• Awareness of IPC-WHMA-620 and automotive/military quality frameworks.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, and test fixtures.
• PCB integration and hand-soldering SMT PCBs (2–4 layers).

Responsibilities

• Build, crimp, and assemble electrical harnesses and sensor looms.
• Execute SMT PCB assembly and fine-pitch soldering.
• Support loom architecture design with senior engineers.
• Select interconnects and cabling for harsh environments.
• Apply CAN diagnostics to troubleshoot hardware faults on active platforms.
• Incorporate DFM principles during assembly.
• Generate schematics, 3D routing, and production docs.
• Wire and integrate sensor elements into robust looms.
• Diagnose hardware issues on PCBs and vehicle wiring setups.
• Perform isolation checks and validation on looms and power systems.
