Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Medicine Hat is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Professional Technologist at an intermediate level. The role includes responsibility for electrical system design, compliance with safety standards, and project coordination. Ideal candidates hold a relevant diploma or degree and possess at least five years of relevant experience. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is also required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in commercial, industrial, and/or municipal electrical & controls.
• Eligibility for professional membership with APEGA (P.Eng.) or ASET (P.Tech, Eng.).
• Experience in commercial and/or industrial consulting.

The MPE office in Medicine Hat is seeking an Electrical Engineer or a Professional Technologist at an intermediate level.

Your Contribution

• Basic drafting experience in Revit
• Understanding of electrical components in models
• Good understanding of electrical design, installation, and code requirements for electrical systems in buildings
• Ability to lead and coordinate small projects is an asset

Your Profile

• Diploma or degree in a relevant discipline
• 5 years of experience in commercial, industrial, and/or municipal electrical & controls
• Eligibility for professional membership with APEGA (P.Eng.) or ASET (P.Tech, Eng.)
• AutoCAD and Revit drafting skills
• Experience in commercial and/or industrial consulting

Electrical system building design experience including but not limited to:

• Power distribution and emergency backup (up to 750V)
• Electrical system modeling (SKM)
• Security door access and controls
• Communications and networking
• Automation and control
