Socomec Group in Canada seeks an Electrical Engineer to contribute to system-level electrical design for high-power systems up to 2.5 MVA, including UPS, STS, PDU, and test bays. You will develop schematics with EPLAN, perform thermal analysis, cable sizing, BOM preparation, and support FAT and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in high-power electrical design, a degree in Electrical Engineering, and familiarity with NEC/NFPA/UL/IEC standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 years in electrical design for high-power systems (≥1 MVA).
Hands-on experience with EPLAN and ERP systems.
Expertise in UPS, STS, PDU systems, and power electronics at the system level.
Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, UL, and IEC standards for high-power systems.

Responsabilités

Support design and review of electrical systems for UPS, STS, and PDU up to 2.5 MVA; develop schematics with EPLAN.
Perform busbar design and thermal analysis for high-current applications.
Conduct electrical calculations (short-circuit, load flow, protection coordination).
Contribute to high-power test bays; ensure FAT and safety compliance.
Prepare documentation and compliance reports.
