Job summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Designer/Engineer in Hamilton to contribute to a diverse project portfolio across residential, commercial, and institutional sectors. Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• 3–6 years of experience in a consulting engineering environment (building design).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Strong understanding of Ontario Electrical Code and relevant standards.
• Experience working on residential, commercial, or institutional projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical design drawings and documentation for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
• Support projects from concept through to construction, including design development and tender packages
• Perform calculations including load calculations, panel schedules, and lighting layouts
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams to ensure integrated design solutions
• Participate in client meetings and internal design coordination meetings
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and assist during construction administration phases
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
