We are excited to see what you bring to our team!Duties and Responsibilities:- Prepare the concept electrical design, production drawing, schematics, equipment selection, and system concept report for industrial, commercial, and institutional buildings, leveraging expertise in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Prepare the contract documents including the specifications.
- Evaluate shop drawing reviews.
- Ensure ASHRAE and LEED compliance where applicable.
- Coordinate with other disciplines both internally and externally.
- Engage in meetings with clients, contractors, and other consultants regarding project reports and findings
- Provide expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements- Post Secondary degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required.
- Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng) required.
- 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering for industrial, commercial, and/or institutional buildings.
- Strong knowledge in HV substations, fire alarms, lighting, emergency power generation, MV and LV distribution systems, and large electrical systems.
- Familiarity with LEED, ASHRAE, CEC, and energy-efficient design principles (LEED AP or CEM certification is an asset).
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as the Canadian Electrical Code, Canadian National Building Code (NBC), Ontario Building Code (OBC), etc.
- Ability to meet deadlines/successful completion of deliverables.
- Highly effective conflict resolutions skills
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure on various tasks.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
