Job description

Duration : 1 Year, can be extended annually

Hourly Rate : $75 - 85 / hour

Responsibilities :

  • Design, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems with a focus on transformers and high-voltage switchyards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of components into projects.
  • Provide technical expertise during planning, implementation, and maintenance phases.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements, offering innovative solutions for enhanced systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations through active participation in reviews and audits.
  • Generate detailed documentation for electrical schematics, diagrams, and reporting.
  • Oversee testing and validation processes to ensure optimal system functionality.
  • Collaborate with vendors to source quality components and equipment.
  • Assess and improve existing systems for performance optimization and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineering license (P. Eng.) required.
  • 5-8 years of electrical engineering experience, with 3-5 years in nuclear-related projects.
  • Expertise in transformers and high-voltage switchyards projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards.
  • Commitment to safety protocols.
  • Security clearance with OPG and / or Bruce Power.
