About Voltaic Green:

We are a cleantech startup focused on smart greenhouse technology. Our innovative system automates solar panel rotation to optimize greenhouse lighting and energy efficiency. As we prepare for a Canadian pilot project, we are looking for a contract Electrical Engineer to support the development and installation of our solar-powered rotator system.

Position Details:

Location: Ontario, Canada (Remote + On-site visits as needed)

Type: Short-term Contract (Project-based)

Duration: 2-3 months (with possible extension)

Industry: Cleantech | Renewable Energy | Agriculture IoT

Project Scope & Responsibilities:

• Support the electrical design, wiring, and integration of solar-powered rotators with sensors.
• Assist in setting up and testing the pilot installation at a greenhouse site.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/electrical issues during the pilot.
• Work closely with the team to validate system performance and ensure safe operation.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contract manufacturers as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Previous project-based or freelance experience preferred.
• Experience with solar PV systems, small motors, or IoT sensors is a strong asset.
• Comfortable working independently and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to travel to the pilot site in Ontario (as needed).
• Strong hands-on problem-solving skills.
