OSP Design and Engineering for new construction.

Job Responsibilities

1. Planning and analysis in support of new construction for outside plant.
2. Locate, sketch, and document detailed information of OSP facilities: cables, poles, ground structures for long haul fiber projects.
3. Identify right of way and permit requirements for proposed routes.
4. Use experience and best judgment to identify issues and propose solutions.
5. Update site drawings and construction drawings for various telecommunication facilities.
6. Read and understand railroad and other technical prints.
7. Manage easement, right-of-way, and permit documentation.
8. Experience with locate equipment for OSP projects.
9. Minimum years of telecommunication OSP experience required.
10. Understanding of OSP construction techniques.
11. Experience in OSP design of copper and fiber optic facilities in aerial, underground, and direct buried applications.
12. Experience with City, County, State, and Railroad permit application processes.
13. Willingness to travel and stay overnight if required by the project.
14. Ability to lift heavy objects, such as manhole or handhole vault lids.
15. Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Visio is a plus.
