What You Will Do

1. Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on mining equipment including onboard PLCs, protection and control systems, and HMI equipment.
2. Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on material handling and hoisting equipment.
3. Assist electricians in the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of underground electrical control systems.
4. Create and modify project work packages, including procedures, commissioning lists, bills of materials, and training documents.
5. Work with equipment with voltage ratings up to 25KV.
6. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve project goals.
7. Participate in promoting and using safety systems in place.
8. Work on a 5-5-4 schedule, including working days and weekends.
9. Work in an underground setting.

What You Will Bring

1. An accredited diploma as an Electrical Engineering Technologist, Instrumentation Engineering Technologist, Electronics Systems Engineering Technologist, or similar; consideration may be given to Electrical Engineers.
2. Experience in heavy industry, particularly underground mining, is an asset.
3. Skilled in Allen-Bradley and Schneider PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting.
4. Proficient in RS Studio, FactoryTalk SE/ME, Unity, CodeSys.
5. Familiar with protection relays and control devices.
6. Knowledge of industrial networking, including Cat5e, switching, and protocols like MODBUS, CIP, ETH/IP.
7. Experience with fiber optics, L3 routing, wireless, Cisco IOS programming is an asset.
8. Ability to work safely in an industrial environment.
9. Strong communication skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team in a complex production environment.
