About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous Electrical Draughtsperson to support their power infrastructure projects in East London . This role is essential for creating detailed technical drawings and schematics required for the design, construction, and maintenance of electrical systems, including substations, distribution networks, and power plants. You will work closely with engineers to translate design concepts into accurate and compliant blueprints using CAD software. This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to the development of vital energy infrastructure .

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts for power infrastructure projects using CAD software.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to company standards, industry regulations, and client specifications.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to review designs and incorporate modifications.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and material take-offs based on drawings.
• Maintain an organized system for managing and revising all project drawings.
• Assist in site visits for verification and information gathering as needed.

Requirements

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Draughtsperson, preferably in the power sector .
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
• Strong understanding of electrical symbols, standards, and power system components.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in producing technical drawings.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a project team.
