Job summary

CANADIAN NIAGARA POWER INC. in Fort Erie seeks a GIS and Records Technician to create and maintain precise drawings, maps, tracings and records for a safe electrical distribution system.

The role involves fieldwork, policy compliance, and collaboration with other teams to support operations. The successful candidate will have a two-year technology program, a valid G license, knowledge of electric theory, and experience with mapping applications.

Qualifications

• Two-year technology program completed.
• Valid class G Ontario Driver's Licence.
• Working knowledge of electric theory.

Responsibilities

• Produce, maintain and revise drawings and as-built data for electrical, mechanical, architectural and civil projects.
• Log and maintain records such as U/G plant and joint-use files.
• Conduct transmissions, distribution and joint-use surveys and studies.
• Prepare blueprints and copies for departments as required.
• Organize and maintain records, maps and drawings.
• Maintain land surveying records.
• Ensure work complies with all relevant legislation and company policies.
