Job summary

CIMA+’s Energy & Resources team is actively seeking an Electrical - Distribution Co-op Student to contribute to distribution infrastructure projects in Regina, SK. You’ll gain hands-on experience across design tasks, site visits, and client communications while working with experienced professionals.

The role supports the team in telecommunications, substations, and renewable energy initiatives, with an emphasis on safety, codes, and quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in a program at an educational institution and eligible for a co-op or internship.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or civil engineering is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is an asset.
• Experience with GIS or related software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Help perform design tasks for projects related to electrical distribution infrastructure.
• Assist in developing design and construction standards for distribution applications.
• Assist in preparing calculations, drawings, and project deliverables.
• Coordinate with utility stakeholders and clients on project progress.
• Support site visits to validate scope and asset condition.
