Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for an Electrical Designer to join the Team at our Burlington Office.

About the role :

• Responsible for drafting and 3D modelling electrical systems for mining and industrial projects.
• Develop models, design and drafting using advanced modeling and assembly practices within a 3D and 2D Electrical environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team, applying skills to both new construction and renovation projects for drafting of power distribution, lighting and communication systems.
• Provide CAD drafting services to design team.
• Work under the direction of Electrical Engineers to develop working drawings from conceptual layout to detailed construction document packages for submission.
• Ability to create electrical design of single line diagrams, motor schematics and wiring, General Arrangement, distribution panels, grounding, lighting, and cable tray.
• Ability to create and maintain cable schedule and material take offs.
• Apply, maintain and enforce CAD standards.
• Ensure proper documentation of all work, products, and relevant activities.
• Provide on-site construction supports as required.

About you :

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering Design and Drafting Technology from a recognized college.
• 10 years’ experience of drafting electrical, controls and instrumentation deliverables in an engineering environment.
• Experience working within an EPCM environment is preferred.
• Able to work within defined schedules and deadlines.
• Able to function well, either as part of a team or independently.
• Strong communication, analytical and time management skills.
• Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
