We are excited to partner with Electec Engineering in their search for an Electrical Designer to join their growing team in Bedford, NS.
Established in 1990, Electec Engineering Inc. is a design-oriented firm that prides themselves on delivering exceptional work to their clients, providing a full range of electrical and mechanical engineering services. Electec has completed thousands of projects throughout the Maritimes and across Canada.
Reporting to the ownership team and senior engineers, the Electrical Designer will assist with electrical design for building systems and play an integral role in project coordination. This role offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience, collaborate with experienced professionals, and contribute to green building design initiatives.
As the successful candidate, you are an Electrical Engineering Technologist (CET) or an Engineer in Training (EIT) and have 1 to 3 years of experience working in electrical building design. You have a strong foundation in building codes, electrical systems, and design principles, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Revit would be an asset. You are a strong communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and contractors. You approach challenges with logical reasoning and problem-solving skills, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to take initiative in a fast-paced work environment.
