About Strescon Limited
Established in 1963, Strescon Limited has grown to become the largest precast, pre-stressed concrete manufacturer in Eastern Canada. Its primary market covers the Atlantic Provinces and the New England region of the United States. Strescon manufactures a wide range of both architectural and structural precast/prestressed concrete products including bridge girders, wall panels, complete parking garages, hollowcore slabs, precast pile, and deck slabs. Strescon presently has two facilities: 70,000 sq.ft. in Saint John, New Brunswick and 50,000 sq.ft. in Bedford, Nova Scotia.
In addition to our engineered precast facilities for custom components, Strescon also operates a 32,000 sq. ft. facility in Saint John which manufactures standard concrete products for engineered drainage systems, such as pipe, manholes and catch basins.
Job Summary
The Plant Engineer-In-Training will assist in directing operations within the plant including overall planning and project execution, ensuring schedules are kept and safety processes are adhered to. This role will provide direction to improve the organization’s overall production plans, systems and procedures. The Plant Engineer-In-Training is responsible for analyzing operations, designing workflows and production processes, reducing inefficiency, and ensuring final products meet established quality standards. This position requires a solid understanding of operations combined with the desire to develop and maintain relationships within a diverse workforce.
As training for this position, it is expected that a period of time will be spent in various departments (Project Management, Quality Control, etc.) to gain an understanding of operational procedures and processes.
